11 days 5 months 2016 years…

Today we went to Monkey Island. We stayed at the resort. In the check in place there was a ping pong table, a pool table and a soccer table. Mum and I stayed in room 204 and Dad and Jacob stayed in room 201. We went on a monkey tour and we saw 3 monkeys. We got feed the monkeys with peanuts. One monkey was big and fat I was scared so I threw all my peanuts to the monkey. This is what the place we were staying at looked like.

8th day 5th month 2016th year

Today we went on a bike ride. It was not a real bike ride. We got to sit in the front and Vietnamese man push us on the bike at the back. Only 2 people can sit on the one cart. We had to get anther cart. The bike ride was 1 hour.  We got to go around the Old Quarter of Hanoi.

At the end of the bike ride we stopped near the lake and we got lunch. We ate Bun Cha. That is rice noodles and a soup with mini parties.  We also had Spring rolls. I liked the rice noodles and the patties but not the soup. Dad and Jakey had a chillie contest. The chillies were birds eyes and I think Dad won.

In the afternoon went back to our hostel for a rest.  After that we went across the road. To get ice cream. Mum got a coffee and dad got a mango smoothie.  Then went back to the lake in a taxi. We bought tickets to go a temple in the middle of the lake. It was called Ngoc Son Temple.  We then went to a water puppet show. There was lots of music and there was 5 water spitting dragons and two fire breathing dragons. I only like the dragon bit. The rest was boring because it was in Vietnamese and didn’t understand it.  After the show went to Geko for a drink.  After we had dinner.  My favourite food from dinner was steamed meat dumplings.

Yesterday we went on a bike ride for 7 hours we stated at 9:15 and ended at 4:15. We did 2 hours then we went on a bamboo raft. Mum and Jacob went on one bamboo raft and dad and I went on a another one. We stopped at lots of really good and cool lookouts. Some were near the water and others weren’t. Some were near the farm land and weren’t. It was a really good day that day and only 1 week in-till I see my friends. I am so excited.

Today it was a relaxing day. We walked up a high mountain, It was hard. Then we walked down agin, But first we had to pay then get in and look out of the amazing view. I’m doing my blog and then I will have a shower and then play minecraft.

1.November.2015

Today we went on a bus. The bus driver was like racing car driver, he went around the mountains really fast. I got sick. We got off at the bus stop because I got sick. We walked down to the lookout. We bought mandarins. There were two mini ones and three big ones. We walked around for a few minutes, then I felt better. We took photos over the lookout. After that we caught another bus to the lookout we wanted to go to. We got off the bus and read the sign.  We walked left, we saw roasted potatoes and dad said we could have some when we got back. We walked down some steps, dad asked us if we wanted to go some more I said yes before Jacob said something. So we kept walking down steps then to the lookouts we counted the steps on the way up. There was 600 steps. We had some potatoes on the way up. They were yummy.  Then we caught a bus back to our hostel.

2.November.2015

We got up early.  We found McDonalds so we had it for breakfast.  We looked at a couple more lookouts and then had to walk down 8,000 steps to get to the bottom of the mountain.  We had a rest at every lookout on the way down.  It was hard.  At one of the lookouts we bought a bird whistle and annoyed Dad blowing it all the way down. When we got to the last lookout we had a break and ate mandarins. When we got to the bottom dad asked us if we wanted to go on the mini train  or bus. We said mini train. Then at the ent of the train we went on a bus to the end of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

3.November.2015

Yesterday we caught a taxi to the train station to get our tickets for the train. Then we caught a nother taxi to the airport. Our plane was 45 minutes late. So we were 45 minutes late into Yangshuo. We had someone waiting for us at the airport so he can take us to the hostel.

30.October.2015
Today we went to the Tianmen Mountain. We went on a Cablecar to get up to the top. It was really high and cold. It had three gates north gate south gate and west gate. We went on the west gate to the glass . It was 1600 meters down to the ground. The glass floor looked like it was going to break because lots of people were on it. Some people were scared. We had to were feet covering to not scratch the glass and not so heavy. We wrote our wishing ribbons. I wished for a happy family and a safe dog.
We went across a bridge, it was wobbly. We caught the bus on the way down. It was like a roller coaster ride?.
We had dinner with Mei Mei. She is a friend we met. It was fun. The was yummy?

31.October.2015
Today we went to the Zhangjiajie Nature Forest Park. We saw monkeys and cliffs. The monkeys were scary and cool at the same time. They were scary because chasing people for food.
The scenery was amazing. It was like the floating mountains of Pandora in the movie Avatar. We went up 130 floors, it was the worlds longest outside elevator. There was big and small cliffs. It was really cold. We had to buy gloves and beanies and rain coats, because it was rainy.

29th October
Train ride Yichang to Zhangjiajie
Today we went on a train, It is four and a half hours. At the train station Jacob Dad and I made a bet that Jacob and I can’t talk for the whole train trip.

28 October

Small restaurant for dinner
We went to a small restaurant for dinner. I had egg fried rice it was big I ate half.

25 – 28 October
Yangtze River Cruise
We went on a cruise for three nights. The beds were comfortable. I had fun with Jacob. We got to go around by ourselves. Every day we played ping pong two or three times a day. We went on three tours. The first one was a temple. It had99 wooden steps we climbed them all. The second tour was the three gorges tour. It has steep cliffs on the sides. Dad Jacob and I saw goats, mum didn’t. Yesterday we did the hydroelectric plant and the worlds biggest dam wall. The wall was massive and it was cold outside. The cruise was lots of fun.

25 October
Chongqing Zoo
We went to Chongqing Zoo. We saw Lions, Monkeys, Elephants, White tigers and Jungle tigers, Pandas, Red pandas and Baboons. We went to the dinosaur valley in Chongqing Zoo. I liked the Tigers Lions and red pandas. That night we went on the cruise.

24 October
Chongqing Cableway
We went to the Cableway in Chongqing. We crossed and looked out over the worlds 3rd biggest river. It was called Yangtze River. The Cablecar was really squishy. It had a good view.

23 October
Flight, Xian – Chongqing
We went on a flight from Xi’an to Chongqing. We saw the river and the sea. I did my blog and watched a movie.

Wednesday we had lunch with dads Chinese teacher her name was Lea. We had Hot Pot, I cooked it by myself after we had lunch at Hot Pot we made a cake at Hot Pot restaurant. I made Hello Kitty Jacob made Happy Cat there was lots of cream. After Hot Pot we hired Bikes and then rode them inside City Wall. It was 14 km I rode with dad Jacob rode with mum it was really fun and steep.

Thursday we went to the Terracotta Warriors there were three pits number one had the biggest  number two had the least and numbers three had the second most. We had a guide to show us around. Her name was Lilly. We wached a movie about the Terracotta Warriors.

Facts about them: They got built for Emperour. Qing (Ching)  when he died. They got burnt down by the farmers  because they didn’t like him after he was dead because he was hard on them. Some have colour and some haven’t. They reburied the ones with colour so it didn’t fade.

Yesterday we went on a train, it was called a bullet train it went fast, it was 5 hours but it felt like 2 hours. It went to Xi’an on the train I helped Mum on the numbers because it was hard. It went 303km/hours
